Our Fuorisalone, 2026 bathroom trends and solutions

The main theme of the Fuorisalone during this year’s Milan Design Week was “Be the Project”: an invitation to move on from the concept of design as the end product and embrace a broader vision that encompasses processes, relationships and continuous evolution.
Design therefore becomes experience, the ability to dynamically connect people, materials and spaces. Arcom presented its collections and new products against this backdrop, interpreting the theme with its distinctive motto: “For a bathroom beyond design”.

The Milanese Insula delle Rose showroom in the Brera district was transformed into an exhibition space in which we outlined our vision of the bathroom: a room that is increasingly integrated with the other spaces of the home, a setting in which primary importance is given to the choice and use of materials and sense of aesthetic balance.

Arcom’s products offered a distinctive take on the bathroom trends of 2026, from colours and materials through to the configuration of spaces: not just interior design ideas but real solutions that enhance the functionality and quality of the bathroom.

Check out some of the highlights of our Fuorisalone below and relive the Arcom exhibition experience.

Materials and colours of the 2026 bathroom

One of the main bathroom trends for 2026 is the return to the fore of colour, playing an increasingly central role in design beyond mere aesthetics.

The 2026 colour palette is dominated by warm, natural and enveloping shades, moving away from clear contrasts to prioritise softer and more harmonious hues. This trend is also embodied by the Pantone colour of the year “Cloud Dancer”, which marks an important first step away from pure white towards a softer and slightly off-white tone capable of creating more welcoming and ethereal atmospheres. Colour trends for this year include earthy shades like clay, ochre and sand, warmer tones like terra cotta, dusty and refined hues like powder pink, blue in its different guises, colours like petrol and teal, and desaturated greens such as sage.

The goal right now is to create a bathroom – also through the use of colour – that is increasingly focused on physical but also emotional wellbeing: a relaxing and enveloping haven in which colour is an integral part of the experience.

Inside the showroom, Arcom finetuned this approach with a series of coordinated solutions. One example is the composition with Cipria pink Air cupboard with inbuilt fittings, complete with a matching shelf to hang from the shower screen. The stoneware top, meanwhile, comes with the same Marazzi Fior di Pesco finish as the shower tray and panels and features pink tones to go with the colour of the furnishings and accessories.

In this way, the interior design project is developed around a series of core colours and materials that tie together the bathroom furniture, accessories and the shower in a single uniform total look.

The role of colour is emphasised by its dialogue with the material, another key aspect of contemporary design. Alongside colour trends, the 2026 Fuorisalone strongly highlighted the return of texture: tactile surfaces, 3D finishes and natural materials like wood have a key part to play in the design of household spaces, the bathroom included.

Our Secret collection of bathroom furniture, for example, interprets this relationship with a sophisticated balance of colours and materials: the Ottanio matt lacquer elevates the tactile Riga finish of the base unit, adding rhythm and three-dimensionality, while the washbasin in Laminam Travertino boasts all of the typical texture of natural stone. The composition is completed with tall storage units that alternate closed spaces with open compartments. The visible back panel with Riga finish once again fits with the concept of visual and aesthetic continuity, perfectly matching the wall-hung base unit.

A layered design concept in which materials, textures and colour work together to shape the entire identity of the bathroom.

In the same way, the composition that follows explores the relationship between wood surfaces and on-trend colours, bringing a warm and textural feel to the bathroom.

The minimalist design of the Shape collection is enriched with a tactile dimension that adds vibrance and sophistication to the project through the Greca walnut finish. At the same time, the metallic bronze shade of the top and frame adds a warm and contemporary feel with a textured and more decorative reinterpretation of the metal effect.

Bathroom furniture: crossover with the living room

Bathroom furniture trends for 2026 include an increasingly evident crossover with the living room. Furniture is modular, open and light-look, inspired by bookcases and open storage solutions, with the aim of creating fluid and connected spaces that are more and more integrated with the rest of the house.

A case in point is our Sirius furniture system, a versatile element designed to organise the space with maximum flexibility. The frame can be mounted on the wall or installed floor-to-ceiling to create an open and dynamic solution. The tray shelves, available in different colours, can be paired with storage elements to match the Arcom bathroom furniture collections and create consistent and continuous bathroom projects.

When used to divide the room, Sirius transforms into a double-sided element that is able to define the different areas without interrupting the visual continuity. An approach in line with contemporary interior design trends in which the space is organised without rigid divisions. A minimalist design that significantly expands its versatility in the bathroom but also in other spaces, such as utility rooms or along a corridor.

As shown in the photo, in the showroom we transformed it into a kind of bookcase of materials and finishes, a material sampling corner that underlined its wide scope for personalisation.

Alongside architectural solutions, the bathroom is also evolving towards a more decorative and sophisticated aesthetic. With the Shape collection, for example, we have made it possible to customise the bathroom with pleated-effect glass doors and elegant smoked glass finishes, both of which add a more typically living room feel to the space.

At Arcom, glass is also the main element of accessories like the modern Bobo countertop washbasins whose coloured finishes add a contemporary touch to a design inspired by soft retro forms, strengthening the dialogue between function and aesthetics.

Shower and bathtub: the bathroom as a wellness space

With the contemporary bathroom increasingly prioritising the experiential dimension, interior design projects must focus on creating spaces that offer comfort, relaxation and aesthetic quality, where every element contributes to improving wellbeing.

The shower area has a central role to play in this process. The minimalist profiles of the shower enclosures, panels and trays are coordinated with the textured and coloured surfaces of the bathroom furniture.

In the following composition, the Rail Line bathroom furniture in Argilla lacquer, a kind of desaturated green colour, matches the profiles and tray of the pivot-door shower.

Meanwhile, in this next solution, the top with built-in washbasin in textured Marazzi Fior di Pesco matches with the finish of the walk-in shower tray and panels.

Also making a return is the freestanding bathtub, preferably with soft forms like our Victoria model, where the emphasis is very much on relaxation and the emotional dimension of taking a soak.

Iconic symbol of domestic wellbeing, consistent with the growing desire for spa-inspired bathrooms at home, the bathtub returns to centre stage in interior design projects and also acquires new versatility, sometimes going beyond the traditional confines of the bathroom to dialogue with other spaces in the house.

Flexy: our new bathroom furniture solution for 2026

Among the new products we presented at the Fuorisalone, the Flexy bathroom unit is the perfect synthesis of the main contemporary bathroom furniture trends: a balance of forms, colour and material.

The bathroom furniture stands out for its soft lines and rounded corners on all 4 sides, in keeping with the more fluid style typical of modern bathroom interior designs. The dialogue between the Polvere matt lacquer and the underside of the sink in Ottanio lacquer is reflective of current colour trends, and helps to create a sophisticated visual identity.

At the same time, the Teknoril top with built-in washbasin strengthens the idea of a minimalist and seamless aesthetic. The absence of joints and the clean surfaces of the top cater for the modern desire for fluid volumes and integrated solutions, elevating the formal simplicity and design quality of the interior.

Arcom, for a bathroom beyond design

Our experience at the 2026 Fuorisalone wasn’t just limited to presenting new bathroom furniture, it was also an opportunity for interaction and sharing. During Design Week, the showroom welcomed lots of professionals and visitors, becoming a social space whose high point was the exclusive opening cocktail party.

An exhibition experience that doesn’t finish with Milan Design Week: at the Insula delle Rose showroom, the Arcom collections continue to occupy centre stage.

From the Rail, ShapeWind and Dafne collections of bathroom furniture to the new Secret and Flexy ranges, without forgetting solutions for furnishing the home utility room, sculptural accessories like the Uniko freestanding washbasin and the shower enclosures and bathtubs from the AKS line for the wellness area: the Milan showroom offers a complete and coordinated overview of the Arcom bathroom space.

A project in which the bathroom goes beyond design to combine functionality, wellness, quality and aesthetics in a consistent and recognisable style.
